Cyndi Lauper joins Cumming in 'Threepenny Opera'
Cyndi Lauper will make her Broadway debut opposite Alan Cumming in "The Threepenny Opera" scheduled to begin previews at Studio 54 in March, Playbill reports.
Lauper replaces Edie Falco of "The Sopranos," who recently dropped out of the lineup.
The Roundabout Theatre production of the Wallace Shawn adaption is directed by Scott Elliott and will have costumes designed by Isaac Mizrahi. The cast also includes Nellie McKay, Jim Dale and Ana Gasteyer.
Opening night is scheduled for April 20.
