Top 10 new things to do in NYC this season
Whether you live in New York or have done the holday thing here dozens of times, there's still plenty new. Here's a list of some of the city's best new attractions, restaurants and shopping:
1. Rockefeller Center reopens Top of the Rock, its rooftop observation decks.
2. Bryant Park opens The Pond, an Olympic-sized skating rink.
3. The museums are packed with new blockbuster shows including "Vincent Van Gogh: The Drawings" at the Met, "Darwin" at the American Museum of Natural History, "Russia!" at the Guggenheim and "Slavery in New York" at the N-Y Historical Society.
4. More than 60 high-profile restaurants are opening this season, including CookShop, The Fatty Crab and Mo Pitkin's House of Satisfaction.
5. Survivors, relatives begin leading tours at Ground Zero.
6. Wired magazine opens seasonal-only gadget shop.
7. New buzz on Broadway: "The Odd Couple" and "Sweeney Todd."
8. Eco-friendly car service OZOCar comes with wi-fi, backseat laptop.
9. Young designer marketplace Emerge opens on Bleecker.
10. Ground Zero Museum Workshop opens on 14th Street.
