'The Odd Couple' standing-room ticket update
NewYorkology stopped by the box office for "The Odd Couple" on Tuesday to make sure the standing-room ticket policy hasn't changed since the show emerged from previews.
The only new bit of info is in regards to the number of standing-room tickets up for grabs each show: 12 is the maximum, meaning there could be fewer at some performances.
To recap, as many as 12 standing-room tickets are available to each performance of "The Odd Couple." They can be purchased in cash at the box office for $25, only one per person, for that day's show only. Matinees are performed on Wednesdays and weekends, meaning a double lot of tickets go on sale when the box office opens at 10 a.m. The Brooks Atkinson Theatre box office is located at 256 W. 47th Street.
The tickets move quickest on weekends. Yesterday at 3 p.m., there was still one ticket available for last night's show.
Although the entire run of the show is officially sold out, cancellation tickets are sometimes available at the box office, and several hotels and tour groups are selling them as part of their packages.
