Rihga morphing to London NYC, with Ramsay dining

londonbulldog.jpgWhen the all-suite Rihga Royal Hotel changes its name next fall to The London NYC, it will feature the British chef Gordon Ramsey's first-ever U.S. restaurant and bar, according to food writer Andrea Strong's Strong Buzz.

The refurbishment and redesign of the hotel by British designer David Collins will also include a Golden Door Spa, bath fixtures from WaterWorks, and concierge services provided by Quintessentially, which bills itself as "the world's leading private members’ club focused on 'accessing the inaccessible.'"

The posh Ramsay restaurant will be similiar to his three-star Michelin rated London restaurant with a more relaxed menu in the adjacent bar, according to Strong.

The hotel's sister property, scheduled for the made-over Bel Age in Los Angeles in 2007, will also get a Ramsay restaurant and Golden Door spa.

The Rihga, soon to be London NYC, is located at 151 W. 54th St., map.
