Husband leery of plans for Broadway Britney - Post

Britney Spears is anxious to take over the Broadway role of the happy-go-lucky prostitue in "Sweet Charity," but it's the pop diva's husband with doubts, according to the Post.

The musical's producers last week tried to persuade Kevin Federline, who became a dad to Sean Preston Federline when Spears had their baby in September.

Earlier rumors from "Access Hollywood" speculated that Federline, a dancer, would also have a part on stage in "Charity."

The Post supposes Spear would have no difficulty with the songs, including "Hey Big Spender" and "If They Could See Me Now," but it's the acting she might have trouble with.

If she does take over the lead part from Tony-nominated Christina Applegate in january, the show would move to the 1,800-seat Ford Center on West 42nd Street from the smaller Al Hirshfeld theater to accommodate bigger crowds, the Post reports.
