Parking-metered spots free on Sunday as of Nov. 13

Beginning Nov. 13, New York City drivers will no longer have to feed the parking meters on Sunday, according to the New York Times.

The City Council passed the law Tuesday by overriding the mayor's veto. The city will lose about $12 million a year in lost revenue from quarters and parking tickets, and shell out about $1.2 million to change 13,600 parking signs.
