MTA makes it illegal to walk between subway cars

The MTA this week made it illegal to walk between subway cars or put your feet on a seat, although it backed off a plan to make it tougher to drink a beverage on the subway.

In the past nine years, 13 people have died and more than 100 have been injured trying to walk between the moving cars, according to WNYC. If a cop catches you, the fine is $75 unless you have a good excuse such as moving away from a cretin.

Play a radio audible to others
Use more than one seat
Engage in unauthorized commercial activity
