NY jazz clubs to raise cash for New Orleans recovery
The New York City jazz community is organizing a week-long fundraiser beginning Sept. 11 to raise funds to help the hurricane relief efforts in New Orleans, Gotham Jazz News reports.
During the event, called "When the Saints Go Marching In," participating bars and clubs have agreed to donate portions of their sales to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund. Several venues have already signed up:
