WTC 'Windows' workers to open restaurant in fall

Surviving employees of the World Trade Center's Windows on the World tomorrow will hold a gala fund-raiser at their new restaurant, Colors, though the public grand opening won't happen until October or November, the Post reports.

Colors, located at 417 Lafayette St., (map,) is a cooperative run by about 50 former Windows workers who come from 20 different countries. The menu will consist of American cuisine, steaks and "a global twist."

Four years ago, 73 of their co-workers were killed while working at Windows, which was on the 106th floor of the North Tower.
