Kobayashi defends world title at Nathan's hot dogs

The 147-pound Takeru Kobayashi ate 49 Nathan's hot dogs in 12 minutes at Coney Island on the Fourth of July, four and a half fewer than his record set last year, yet still enough to retain the Mustard Yellow International Belt.

Kobayashi, who has his own fan page on the web, has won the contest for the past five years. The contest has been held annually at Coney Island on the Fourth of July since 1916.
