Ticket strategy for Shakespeare in the Park

As the summer's free season of Shakespeare in the Park kicks off this weekend, it's a good time to consider your strategy to obtain a coveted pair of tickets without wasting a whole day in line, even if it is a line in Central Park.

About.com's guide to New York City comes through with a number of suggestions, including the fact that the lines get longer late in the season when New Yorkers realize there isn't much time left to see one of the shows.

"As You Like It" runs from June 25 to July 17.

"Two Gentlemen of Verona" runs from Aug. 16 to Sept. 11.

There is a full list of performance dates at the Public Theater's website.
