Report ranks NYC 3rd-ish in Olympics 2012 bid

New York City's bid to host the summer Olympics in 2012 didn't make out too well today in the advisory report that will help Olympic voters choose a winner July 6, according to the New York Times.

Paris and London remain the front-runners, while New York looks tied with Madrid, while the bid from Moscow is all but dismissed.

The report noted there is still no guarantee that NYC's Olympic coliseum/New York Jets Stadium will be built and points out that the purchase of land for an Olympic Village in Queens could cause construction delays. However, the report likes New York's (and Madrid's) plan "to turn over large areas to parks and other green spaces."
