Long line for final days at Nomadic Museum

nomads.jpgRain and a long line stretching along the Hudson River bike path didn't deter hoards of people waiting Friday night to get a glimpse inside the Nomadic Museum before it packs up and leaves town after Monday.

The only exhibit at the temporary museum on Pier 54 is Gregory Colbert's "Ashes and Snow." Made up of 200 oversized sepia-toned photographs and a video the museum looks like cleverly arranged shipping containers from the outside, while the inside looks more like a temple.

To avoid the lines, advance ticket purchasers can go to the will-call desk.
