Dancing at Midsummer Night Swing

Midsummer Night Swing is underway outdoors at Lincoln Center featuring bands specializing in everything from Irish traditional to Argentine Tango.

All events are $15 though the Saturday July 2 event for kids -- with square dancing -- is only $5.

However, NewYorkology photo contributor Jim Lowney says you need not shell out the cash to dance. "Perhaps you have to register and pay to dance on THEIR dance floor but you can enjoy the music anywhere on the plaza and people were dancing all over the place," he wrote in the e-mail he sent along with the pictures above.

Midsummer Night Swing continues through July 16 on every evening except Sundays and Mondays. The full schedule for the remaining performances is available at the Lincoln Center website.
