CBGB's landlord is done negotiating

The feared demise of influential punk-rock club CBGB's looks more certain as the landlord "indicated it is no longer interested in negotiating a new lease," Downtown Express reports.

The complicated situation involves a rent dispute dating to 2000, a chocolate bar fundraiser, Steven Van Zandt, the city's 2012 Olympic bid and a nonprofit homeless services organization. Complicated indeed.
