LimoLiner bus to Boston hikes price to $76
LimoLiner, the business-class bus service between New York and Boston recently raised its one-way rate to $76 from $69. LimoLiner, which offers amenities such as free wi-fi onboard, had been at the $69 rate since it opened in October 2003.
The company had planned to raise the rates May 1, even before Amtrak's high-speed Acela train was sidetracked, the company's PR firm said via e-mail to NewYorkology.
Since the Acela withdrawal, LimoLiner has seen a 7 percent to 10 percent increase in business. It's added additional trips, and now operates seven days a week, up to four round trips a day. The ride is just under four hours, getting passengers into the city center, rather than at the airport.
