It's Monday, so we must be at the Apple SoHo shop

germansatipodcity.jpgAs New York is hit with an onslaught of possibly its biggest tourist season ever, some new must-sees are on the list, but who would have thought the Apple SoHo store would be attracting the frumpy middle-aged German follow-the-umbrella set?

Yet it’s true. I witnessed it myself yesterday morning on Prince Street. The guide motioned up to the window display, and they all gazed up. There was talk of "CDs" but that’s about all I could catch as my knowledge of the language doesn’t extend far beyond "ein bier."
