Daily lottery for cheap 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' tix

Front-row tickets to the Broadway musical "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" are sold by a lottery daily for a mere $26.25.

Two and a half hours before each show, someone from the theater will come out front on 45th Street and take the names of anyone who wants tickets. Promptly two hours before curtain, names are drawn and up to 21 people will get the seats. The lottery winners must have cash on hand to pay for the tickets on the spot.

Adapted from the 1988 movie, the Broadway production of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" just gathered up 11 Tony nominations: best musical, best book of a musical, best original score written for a musical, best Performance by a leading actor for both Norbert Leo Butz and John Lithgow, best performance by a leading actress for Sherie Rene Scott, best performance by a featured actress for Joanna Gleason, best lighting, direction,choreography and orchestrations.
