The eight bars that legally allow smoking in NYC

Here's the list you smokers want. Two years into the city's smoking ban, only eight spots have legal exemptions -- and they're all in Manhattan. Assembled at the request of NewYorkology, the press office of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has just sent over the official list of bars and restaurants that can legally allow smoking:

Club Macanudo
26 East 63rd Street

Karma Restaurant & Bar
51 1st Avenue

Carnegie Bar & Books
156 West 56th Street

Lexington Bar and Books
1020 Lexington Avenue

Circa Tabac
32 Watts Street

Kush
(formerly:) 183 Orchard Street
(new:) 191 Chrystie Street

Hudson Bar and Books
636 Hudson Street

Grand Havana Room
666 Fifth Avenue, 39th Floor

Earlier: Two years into smoking ban, the gasping dwindles
