Traveling King Tut might visit Brooklyn Museum

The treasures of King Tut will travel to the United States for the first time since 1979 and the Brooklyn Museum is one of the institutions vying for a showing, the New York Times reports. The show will begin in Los Angeles in June, head to Fort Lauderdale., Fla, then Chicago and wrap up in either Brooklyn, Boston or Philadelphia. The NYT story actually focuses on the fact that the show will not land at the Met because trustees there do not want to create an extra charge for the exhibit like Egyptian officials want.
