Downtown walking tours - via cell phone

You can use your cell phone to take guided walking tours of the Lower East Side, Lower Manhattan and the World Trade Center site for a mere $6 from Talking Street, according to Wired magazine. The tours and others like it will probably proliferate as "air time gets cheaper and mobile technology improves," Wired writes.

Though honestly, it creeps me out to see people at Ground Zero on their phones. I just assume they're the same people who pose for pictures there with big grins on their faces. Might be better to use a discreet earphone down there so you don't have the cell pressed to your ear for an hour.
