Starting 'Gates'

Next week artists Christo and Jean Claude will begin the installation of 7,500 gates in Central Park, leading up to the February debut of the project, "The Gates," according to the New York Times. The gates "will be festooned with saffron-colored fabric panels and will line 23 miles of pedestrian paths from Feb. 12 to 27," the paper reports.
