Hall of Science debuts $89 million expansion

The hands-on New York Hall of Science on Thanksgiving Day will open with an $89 million expansion, NY1 reports.

“I would guess more than half of the content of the exhibits we're opening this week didn't exist 10 years ago,” says Alan Freidman, the museum’s director. “It’s things we didn’t know about, didn’t appreciate. And easily half of the technology that we're using to show these things didn’t exist or at the very least were totally unaffordable.”
