Time Out New York's 12 days of holiday partying guide includes "5 golden treats" for the posh tipplers in the crowd. Featured are mexican coffee with gold tequila at Clinton Street Baking Company; the Algonquin's $10,000 martini on the rock, (includes a real diamond;) the "handmade apricot" at Brasserie 8 1/2; a $1,000 golden opulence sundae at Serendipity 3 featuring 23k edible goldleaf; and the forbidden fruitini at the Cellar Bar at the Bryant Park Hotel which includes the fruity feijoa vodka.
