Buses get funds intended for LaGuardia subway

As the MTA takes control of several private bus lines - primarily operating in Queens - 125 new express buses will be purchased to replace the old ones. "The cost of the buses, $80 million, will come from funds that had been set aside to build a subway extension to LaGuardia Airport – a project now considered dead," NY1 reports.
