Using Priceline to get less expensive NYC hotels

The New York Times offers tips on using Priceline, pegged to using advice in the forums at BiddingforTravel.com. The site lets you head directly to New York City hotels, where you'll see current winning bids such as the Hilton New York for $115/night, a downtown Embassy Suites for $150/night and Westin Times Square for $170.
