Long Island wineries get boost
The 60 wineries in Long Island got a plug this week from New York Governor George Pataki who designated the area the "Long Island Wine Region" in hopes of boosting tourism there. If you don't want to make the trek to Long Island, try Vintage wine shop/tasting bar in SoHo and the Upper West Side, which feature only New York wines.
